At Let’s Do Goods, we believe everyone should be free to be themselves. Yet for many people, that is still far from reality. In the Netherlands, an estimated 1,000 to 2,000 LGBTQIA+ young people become homeless or end up without a safe home environment, often because they are not accepted by their family or surroundings.

Some young people are literally kicked out after coming out. Others leave because home no longer feels like a safe place. What follows is often a difficult and uncertain period filled with stress, shame, and loneliness. Research shows that LGBTQIA+ youth in shelters are especially vulnerable to bullying, violence, and exclusion.

With our Pride Sock, we want to raise awareness for this group — not only during Pride Month, but all year round. Because being yourself should never depend on where you come from, your home situation, or the people around you.

The Pride Sock is made from a soft, slightly thicker quality for extra comfort. The colorful stripes and subtle rainbow detail symbolize freedom, pride, and inclusivity — but above all, visibility. A small statement with a bigger message: you belong exactly as you are.

As always, for every pair you buy, we donate a pair to someone experiencing homelessness. Together, we are not only providing warmth and comfort, but also helping create more awareness for people who too often remain unseen.
