Artist Andres Talledo Pacheco
Andres was born in Lima and arrived alone in the Netherlands as an 8-year-old boy. Through various homes and without family he grows up to become a creative "wandering" artist. As van Gogh was, according to him.
He used visiting museums as a way to integrate into the Netherlands and eventually exhibited his own work at Rambler, Amsterdam. Andres sees making art as a renovation of himself, like keeping a diary of his creativity.
His creativity is reflected in the colorful multifaceted patterns he designs. Like, for example, the work on our sock. We got to know Andres at THUIS, a recovery-oriented sanctuary of the Salvation Army. There the walls are full of his work. So we are proud that Andres designed this sock for us.
