Artist Sara is 74 years old, born in Iran, and has lived in the Netherlands since 1990, where she built a new life as a political refugee. Sara considers herself a global citizen and has dedicated her life to freedom and women's rights.
In her art, she translates her engagement with the world into powerful images with a clear message. For her design, she chose the giraffe as a symbol of nonviolent communication, wisdom, and looking ahead. With her sock, she wants to share not only color and meaning but also make a difference for someone else.
