The January sock is inspired by a painting by Rob (77), an artist at the Doe Mee Huis of SWOM Montfoort. Rob was born in Batavia, later grew up in The Hague and Rijswijk, and worked for many years as a draftsman and technical professional. In recent years, he rediscovered the calm and joy of painting – something he does with great care and precision.
Rob enjoys painting colorful landscapes, nature scenes, and playful underwater worlds. One of these paintings formed the basis for this sock. The result? A sock full of color, movement, and positivity. A sock that stands for creativity, humor, and being seen.
