Her story

Hetty worked in healthcare for many years and was a socially active and involved mother of two children. A divorce caused Hetty's "normal" life to take a drastic turn. The diagnosis of Asperger's and ADD came much too late, explaining many problems in her life. Admission was a first step towards recovery, but a lack of understanding from her social environment makes the recovery very difficult. Drawing has been Hetty's anchor and outlet for her emotions for most of her life. It provides her with peace, satisfaction, and a sense of self-worth.
