Jidske has tried her whole life to live as a gray mouse in the world of “all other people”. A life that resulted in an impossible task for her, a task she no longer wanted to take on. She was diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder and ADHD and slowly her shortcomings that she still experiences daily changed into special qualities in which she found strength. She learned to see herself as she really was. Poetry and photography gave her a tool to show this to others. The fish and birds that she drew for this sock symbolize the freedom that Jidske experiences when she is outside and takes in nature.
