Artist Asmar

Asmar, 30, was born in Azerbaijan. In 2019, she was forced to leave her homeland and arrive in Belgium, where she began the procedure of applying for international protection. Throughout her way, she has never stopped creating and facing obstacles.

Through her works, Asmar reveals herself. Fighting life's challenges, not giving up, pursuing a warrior's life. That's all we can say about her life.  

The pomegranate flowers surrounding the female horserider represent femininity and the symbol of the culture she comes from. Female horseriders are the most special women in her culture, the most courageous.

For Asmar, this design represents the concept of new beginnings and infinite possibilities, with a soothing sky-blue color in the background. This is how she can talk a little about her life. It's not all, it's not enough, life is about exploration.

For Asmar, art is not just production. It's a bridge between worlds, a way of connecting to something greater. When she paints, she escapes into a world where only expression counts, where each canvas becomes a window onto her soul.
